Rachmaninov : Music and Art
PLUS Performance

Rachmaninov was inspired by Swiss symbolist painter Arnold Böcklin's Die Heimkehr (The Homecoming) when writing his Prelude in B minor for piano. But what do Rachmaninov and Böcklin have in common? Which Russian artists have been inspired by Rachmaninov?

Anastassia Katafygiotis, Founder of the Red Square Gallery and Managing Director of Anastassia's Art House, will open this event by discussing these questions of music, art and inspiration, before Charles Tam Chun-Him, a recent graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, performs Rachmaninov’s preludes and variations.
